The GNC Technical Alliances delivers five main types of webinars:
Webinars can include aspects of more than one type of webinar (e.g. promotional and capacity-strengthening) but all tend to have one main objective.
The Alliance (and GNC and the former Tech RRT) have produced many webinars covering NiE coordination and NiE programming. All recordings can be found on the Alliance, GNC and Tech RRT YouTube channels. Upcoming webinars can be found through our Events page.
For example, in 2020 we delivered a series of webinars providing guidance for nutrition programming in the COVID-19 context such as Nutrition information during the COVID-19 pandemic: guidance and experiences from the field.
Have you had an experience in NiE that you want to share with the world? Do you have a new technical innovation that you want nutrition practitioners to know about? Is there any issue in NiE that you think needs to be shouted out for all to hear? Do you think a webinar could help achieve those goals? Then get in touch!
The Alliance has significant experience and a great reputation for delivering cutting-edge, timely and interactive webinars, and we can support you to deliver your idea. Please get in touch whether what you have in mind is embryonic or well-developed, and we can collaborate on making it a reality. We are especially keen to hear from country-level colleagues, who can bring more local perspectives to global conversations.
The Alliance can provide support in the selection of the webinar topic, design of the webinar format, development of webinar materials and promotion. We can also provide a webinar platform and technical support during the webinar, arranging interpreters and sharing guidance and tips for successful implementation of the webinar.

The Webinar Workstream (a group of Alliance staff) was convened in 2022 to develop and maintain a strategic, effective and efficient webinar strategy and action plan, that responds to needs identified by country-level colleagues, and brings voices of field-based practitioners, and the people we seek to support, to the global stage. The group will seek to build on the experiences to date for delivering webinars and produce webinars that are based on identified gaps in both nutrition cluster coordination and NiE programming. This includes discovering what topics global and national level practitioners want to hear about and developing new and interactive approaches and formats.
