and what we do
The GNC Technical Alliance (the Alliance) is a common global mechanism endorsed by over 40 Global Nutrition Cluster partners to provide systematic, predictable, timely, and coordinated nutrition technical assistance in order to meet the nutrition rights and needs of people affected by emergencies. The GNC Technical Alliance is led by UNICEF as the Cluster Lead Agency, together with co-lead, World Vision International.

Description
Communication took place to discuss current situation nd support needs in relation to the super cyclone. Communiation included EAPRO. No GNC support needs were identified, however GNC followed-up on a few areas of concern highlighted by OCHA. In summary, while other sectors/global clusters provided support to their specific counterparts in the Philippines, no support was required from the GNC or UNICEF at a country level. The government were able to meet the needs identified.Description
A call took place to discuss potential support needs. This was linked to ongoing mentoring programme. In process of organising calls on monitoring, and disability. Conflict resolution (multiple governments i.e. working with Hamas and PA or Houthi and gov) was discussed earlier, and identified as a gap in current capacity.Answer

The purpose of this support is to provide short-term support to the Nutrition Working Group (co-chaired by NIN and UNICEF) and government’s partners in the to develop the new Nutrition National Strategy (NNS).Answer
