Lindsay

My name is Lindsay Baker and I’m the Consultant Roster Manager with the GNC. I manage consultant profiles within the roster databases and liaise with organizations who are looking for qualified consultants. I am here to help find the right candidate with the appropriate skills to complete the work. My educational background includes a Master of Science in International Health with a specialization in Tropical Medicine as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill. For over 15 years, I have provided health and nutrition support to international NGOs and UN agencies in humanitarian contexts at the local, country and regional level in roles ranging from technical practitioner to regional coordinator. My work has taken me to South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh, Jordan and Pakistan. Since 2017, I have worked as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to provide IYCF in-home support to families in the communities where I live. I value the lessons learned through these in-home visits and apply them to my work in humanitarian contexts. When I am not working, I love to go camping, mountain biking and kayaking with my family and friends in the wild places close to where I live. ​​
