Hello, I am Elena Gonzalez and I work as Advocacy Helpdesk in the GNC Technical Alliance Technical Support Team (TST) and I am also part of the GNC Coordination Team as advocacy focal point and chair of the GNC Advocacy and Communication Working Group. I provide advocacy support at the global level and to national nutrition clusters and I also lead in the development of advocacy tools.

 I have nearly 20 years of advocacy experience at HQ and field level, mostly on nutrition, but also in other human rights, development and humanitarian issues. When working with Action Against Hunger I was involved in the development of the first GNC Advocacy Strategic Framework 2016-2019 and the GNC Advocacy Toolkit and since then, I have collaborated with other projects, including drafting the e-learning advocacy modules and, more recently, leading the work of the GNC Advocacy and Communications Working Group in the development of the new 2022-2025 GNC Advocacy Strategy. I hold a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law from the University of Barcelona and a Master in Legal Practice from ISDE Law Business School.

 I am passionate about the potential of the collective and how best we can collaborate across levels and sectors, linking humanitarian and development actors and, especially, supporting local leadership.

 For almost 20 years I have called London home. Currently, I am based in Spain where I live with my family.
