My name is Colleen Emary, and I work as a senior technical advisor for health and nutrition with World Vision International, based in Ontario, Canada. Part of my role includes co-leading the GNC Technical Alliance alongside UNICEF.
I’ve worked in the public health and nutrition field for more than 20 years, providing technical support in both humanitarian and development settings. My main areas of interest include infant and young child feeding, management of wasting, and multi-sectoral approaches to improving child health and nutrition outcomes.
I studied Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph, and Public Health Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Apart from work, I am a mom to 3 daughters, and volunteer my time at a variety of causes in my local community, including local breastfeeding support.
