The GNC Technical Alliance (the Alliance) is a common global mechanism endorsed by over 40 Global Nutrition Cluster partners to provide systematic, predictable, timely, and coordinated nutrition technical assistance in order to meet the nutrition rights and needs of people affected by emergencies. The GNC Technical Alliance is led by UNICEF as the Cluster Lead Agency, together with co-lead, World Vision International.

Hi there,As briefly shared with Shabib some days back, in Ethiopia we struggle very much maintaining up-to-date 5W matrices. We need support in identifying more effective ways to derive useful 5W. I'm uploading the excel file used by OCHA that we have to update monthly nationwide (and more recently weekly just for the Tigray crisis) and the ENCU/Nutrition Cluster excel file in which Nutrition Partners provide their updates. Please include also my colleague Wonday wgemeda@unicef.org in your reply.

The purpose of this support is to provide short-term support to the Nutrition Working Group (co-chaired by NIN and UNICEF) and government’s partners in the to develop the new Nutrition National Strategy (NNS).Answer

Description
IMC requests technical support on Social and Behavior Change (SBC) to guide IMC staff in-country who are either supervising or themselves acting as frontline workers in communities affected by COVID-19. Existing staff are experienced in community education, but there is urgent need to equip these frontline workers to do more than simply transfer information about COVID-19, but to effectively change people’s perceptions and behaviors in relation to COVID-19. In addition, SBC will support the continuity of critical nutrition and health services by facilitating program adaptations that support vulnerable groups to maintain nutritious diets and feeding practices during the pandemic, which has posed an acute threat to food security.Filter Results
